Benoît's work at GPlus focuses on 3 areas: EU competition policy, ICT policy and international relations.

Benoît joined GPlus in October 2009 from the European Commission, where he had worked in DG Employment and Social Affairs on EU labour market policies and social funds. Prior to this, he was at the French consulate in Shanghai, where he worked on French-Chinese cooperation on the environment. Benoît is currently Editor-in-chief of Euros du Village, a participative web-magazine specialised in EU affairs.

Benoît holds a Degree in social sciences from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques of Bordeaux and the University of Stuttgart, Germany, as well as a Master's Degree in European Politics from the College of Europe in Bruges.

Apart from his native French, Benoît is fluent in German and English, and speaks some Spanish and basic Mandarin.
