Julius von Freytag-Loringhoven
Senior Account Executive Julius joined GPlus in 2008 from the European Government Affairs office of BP, where he was working as an advisor on energy and climate change. He is a specialist in overall energy policies, renewable energies, electricity and gas markets, the European Emissions Trading Scheme and questions of energy security. Earlier in his career Julius worked for Burson-Marsteller in New Delhi. There he advised a large international beverage company on crisis communications. Julius has also worked for a Lithuanian MEP and as a research assistant at the Centre of European Policy Studies (CEPS), a leading Brussels-based think-tank. A German national, he studied Political Science, Philosophy and Economics in Munich and holds a Masters in Political Strategy and Communications from the University of Kent. He also studied Russian in St. Petersburg for a year. Trained as an officer of tank reconnaissance he is fluent in English and German and speaks some Russian. |
