Lucía Caudet

Email: luciacaudet@gpluseurope.com

Since joining GPlus in January 2006, Lucía has mainly advised multinational clients in the banking, insurance and telecommunications sectors on public affairs, media relations and general corporate reputation. She specialises in financial services and accounting but advises clients on a broad range of issues including consumer policy, competition law, social and employment affairs, transport and information society.

With ten years' experience of the Brussels environment, Lucía combines expert understanding of the EU and its role in international relations with strong political and strategic thinking, and sound drafting skills.

She brings to GPlus a track record of media experience from her previous position as Head of Communications and Spokesperson for the European insurance industry federation (CEA). Previously, she managed CEA's external and internal communication strategies and handled its relations with European, American and Asian media for over three years.

Earlier in her career Lucía worked at the Union of European Federalists, where she coordinated the European Parliament's Intergroup on the European Constitution and led the NGO's campaigns around European summits.

Lucía has three nationalities - Spanish, German and American. She studied law in Madrid and Berlin and obtained a Master's in European Law from the Institut d'Etudes Européennes in Brussels. She is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish and has a basic knowledge of Italian, Dutch and Catalan.
