At g+ since January 2008, Oya specialises in the energy sector in south-east Europe and EU-Turkey relations. She is part of a team advising a major international energy company on communication and public affairs activities.
Previously Oya was working in Ankara as a Research Associate at the renowned Foundation of Economic Policy Institute of Turkey (TEPAV), writing on various matters related to the development of the private sector in Turkey and EU-Turkey relations. She has also worked as a teaching/research assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, where she co-authored articles on the Cyprus conflict and the EU's security policy.
Oya holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She also has a Master's degree in Politics from the College of Europe in Bruges. A Turkish national, Oya is fluent in English and French, and understands Italian.
