Johannes joined g+ in October 2010 after spending a year in Washington, D.C. where he worked at the Delegation of the European Union and the Representation of German Industry and Trade covering international trade issues and promoting the transatlantic partnership. He advises clients in the areas of trade, energy and ICT policy.
Earlier in his career Johannes worked for eBay’s EU Liaison office on a range of internet and e-commerce policies. During his time at eBay Johannes prepared the launch of the company’s EU Public Affairs website and was the Brussels liaison for eBay’s successful EU-wide online petition against barriers to cross-border online commerce.
Johannes holds a triple degree in International Business and Communications from universities in Cologne, Liverpool and Aix-en-Provence, and followed postgraduate courses in EU law and international trade law at the University of London. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Business Diplomacy from the Spanish Foreign Ministry’s Diplomatic School in Madrid. A German national, he is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
