Associate

Email: philippelemaitre@gpluseurope.com

Philippe assists GPlus clients with policy advice on competition, the internal market, agriculture and the media.

As Brussels correspondent for Le Monde for over thirty-five years, Philippe has unrivalled depth and breadth of knowledge of EU affairs. He is arguably the most respected and influential French journalist ever to write about the European Union. Before joining Le Monde he founded the Brussels office of the agricultural publication Agra-Europe, the most respected journal of its kind.

Philippe has contributed to many publications and is involved in several think-tanks, notably the Centre for European Policy Studies. He teaches regular courses on the EU and media at the College of Europe in Natolin (Poland) and at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques (‘Sciences Po') in Paris. In 2001, Philippe was part of a team of ten public figures who were asked to advise the French Government on the future of the EU.

Philippe speaks French, English and German.
