Rory advises global companies with complex regulatory issues in Europe. He is closely involved in the EU biofuels debate, as well as the resolution of Latin America's disputed access to the European banana market at the WTO, and also advises on a number of high profile anti-dumping cases.

During his time at GPlus, Rory has worked to build the Europe-wide reputations of leading UK banking and insurance groups, and directed a media and political campaign for the Korean shipbuilders. He has substantial experience of the debates surrounding state aid and export subsidies to European industry.

Before joining GPlus, Rory spent four years at Edelman, a global public relations agency, in Brussels. He advised parties and handled media relations in sensitive international trade disputes on aerospace subsidies, shipbuilding and trademarks in the spirits industry.

Rory previously worked for the London bureau of the Mainichi Shimbun, one of Japan's biggest daily newspapers, and leading Brussels think-tank, the European Policy Centre. He has also worked in the European Commission's department for External Relations. He read Law and French Law at the London School of Economics and the Université de Strasbourg and spent a year studying political science at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.
